Beyond pain and tension: How Rolfing® and Personal Training work together

I work with people who want to move more freely, improve posture and better understand recurring tension or movement limitations. In my Basel studio, Rolfing® Structural Integration and Personal Training are combined to address both body structure and movement patterns.

Why combine Rolfing® and Personal Training?

Rolfing® focuses on body structure, fascia and movement awareness, while Personal Training helps strengthen and integrate new movement patterns. Together, they create a more comprehensive approach than bodywork or exercise alone.

FAQ – Rolfing® & Personal Training
Answers to guide your path to better movement and well-being.
What are the benefits of Rolfing®?

Rolfing® Structural Integration works with fascia, posture and movement patterns. The aim is to improve mobility, body awareness and structural balance, while helping the body move with greater ease. It can be particularly relevant for people experiencing recurring tension, restricted movement or postural imbalances.

Is Rolfing® right for me?

Rolfing® may be suitable if you experience recurring tension, restricted mobility, postural issues or limitations in how you move. It can also be useful if you want to develop better body awareness and improve movement quality.

If you have an acute medical condition, recent surgery or other health concerns, please discuss this with your doctor before booking. During pregnancy, Rolfing® should be considered individually and discussed beforehand.

Can I book Personal Training and Rolfing® separately?

Yes. Rolfing® and Personal Training can be booked independently depending on your needs and goals.

Rolfing® focuses more on fascia, structure, mobility and movement awareness, while Personal Training focuses on strength, stability and movement control. Some clients choose one approach, while others combine both.

How much does a Rolfing® session cost, and how many sessions will I need?

The first session lasts approximately 75 minutes and costs CHF 225. It includes a detailed health history as well as an assessment of posture, body structure and movement patterns.

Follow-up sessions last approximately 60 minutes and cost CHF 200, including ongoing body and movement assessment.

The number of sessions depends on your individual goals and situation. Sessions are often spaced 1 to 3 weeks apart, giving the body time to adapt between appointments. Some clients book individual sessions, while others choose a structured series in which each session builds on the previous one.

Is Rolfing® covered by Swiss health insurance?

Rolfing® may be partially reimbursed through supplementary health insurance. I am registered with EMR, ASCA and EGK, but the amount covered depends on your insurer and individual policy.

Please check your coverage directly with your health insurance provider before your first session.

What is the easiest way to schedule my session in Basel?
